The WJF Program for the French Youth Delegation 2018 officially launched


The “International Visiting Program for Youths - French Youth Delegation” of the Wu Jianmin Foundation was formally launched in Paris on January 17, 2018.

Jean Pierre Rafffarin, ex-PM of France and Honorary President of "Friends of Wu Jianmin", Guan Jian, Chinese Ambassador to France, Thierry Mathou, Directo for Asia and Oceania at the French Ministry of Europe and Foreign Affairs, Xu Bo, Jean-Pierre Lafon, Chairman of "Friends of Wu Jianmin", Chairman of the Wu Jianmin Scholarship Selection Committee and former French Ambassador to China, and other guests attended the ceremony.

The theme of this French youth visiting program is "innovation and entrepreneurship." The selection committee will select 10 winners from the young French applicants. The winners will go to Beijing, Chengdu and Shenzhen from June 2 to June 16, 2018, to visit innovative industrial parks and institutions in these cities, and learn about AI, VR, drones and robots, etc, and conduct exchanges and dialogues with young local entrepreneurs.

The "French Youth Delegation" Program was initiated by the French association "Friends of Wu Jianmin" and the WJF. The WJF hosted the first French Youth Delegation Program from May 29 to June 9, 2017. During their stay in China, the French delegates visited four cities, respectively Beijing, Yinchuan, Hangzhou and Shanghai, exchanged ideas with young people from all walks of life in China, and made extensive contacts with Chinese government departments, local agencies, universities, policy think tanks, innovative companies, communities, and various nonprofit organizations. The journey has strengthened the exchange of visits between young people of China and France and promoted the friendly cooperation between the two sides in the new era.
