The WJF attended the Annual Summit of China Green Companies

The tenth Annual Summit of China Green Companies (ASCGC) sponsored by the CEC was held in Zhengzhou from April 22 to 24, 2017. The WJF attended the event.

The Annual Summit of China Green Companies was established by the CEC in 2008, with over 1,000 attendants every year from all over the world, including most visionary and transformative business leaders, political leaders, academic authorities, NGO representatives and mainstream media representatives. During the past nine years, the summit sites included Beijing (two sessions), Chengdu, Qingdao, Wuhan, Kunming, Nanning, Shenyang, and Jinan, with advanced business ideas and practices conveyed to the political and business communities across the country. The summit takes private entrepreneurs as the main participants, pays attention to the business ecology, and studies and discusses the pragmatic issues of commercial sustainability. At the same time, it strives to become a communication platform for setting up new types of government-business relations by providing advice for revision of the domestic industrial environment and policies. The summit has grown into the most influential business forum in China in the field of sustainable economic development.

On the afternoon of April 23, a private session of the WJF was held. The closed-door conference was chaired by Liu Donghua, Vice Chairman of the CEC, while WJF Chairman Shi Yanhua, Senior Consultant Long Yongtu, Vice Chairman Wang Zhenyao, Secretary-General Feng Wei and Director Wang Xin of the WJF, and BOD Chairman of the Far East Holding Group Jiang Xipei and his wife Chen Xiaofen were present at the conference. The guests fully affirmed the progress of the Foundation since its inception and the overall work plan for the future, and made suggestions for the Foundation’s future growth.

At the later plenary session of the Summit, CEC President Ma Weihua paid tribute to Ambassador Wu Jianmin on behalf of all participants.

The ASCGC was established in 2008. Since then, Ambassador Wu Jianmin had been chairman of our summit, but he was absent this year. At this moment, we deeply cherish the memory of such a good mentor and friend who was passionate about the Summit, concerned about sustainable development and respected by entrepreneurs.

In order to express our condolence, today we invited to the summit Mrs. Wu, former director of the MFA translation office, former Chinese ambassador to Luxembourg and Chairman of the WJF. Let us pay homage to Ambassador Shi with warm applause!

By participating in the summit, the WJF has not only expanded its circle of friends, but also gained the opinions and suggestions needed for its healthy development. It is believed that the Foundation will be able to make full use of the "nutrition" to thrive, and that it will exert its own initiative and build itself as a platform on which we can make efforts for joint and common development of China and the world.
